Got questions about painting? You’re not the only one.

Below, you’ll find some of the most common questions we get asked here at London Painting.

If you don’t find your question, feel free to give us a call and ask.

For some people, the appeal of a DIY job is just too much to resist. We get it – some of the first walls most of us ever painted were in our own homes. For others, it’s a cost-cutting measure.

But for most home and business owners, a professional painter makes more sense. Besides saving you time and effort, a professional painter can help you avoid costly errors and mistakes.  A London Painting paint job is properly prepped, perfectly executed, and cleaned up. In the end, your final product will be pristine and professional.

The length of a project varies dramatically depending on the scope. If you just need some windows cleaned up, we can usually finish that in a day. Most residential projects take a week or less, but can sometimes go longer depending on the size of your house, the number of rooms you need painted, and how much prep needs to be done.

Commercial jobs can take longer, again depending on the size of the building we’re working with.

We’ll give you an estimate of the timeframe at the beginning of your project, and keep you posted of any delays or setbacks that may pop up.

Once we’re finished your job, we’ll leave you with all the leftover paint. That way, if you need a touch up, you’ve got the paint you need.

Yes, every job at London Painting is fully insured.

Yes, absolutely. Colour match technology has come a long way. Even if you don’t have any of the paint left over, we can take a chip of paint from your wall and use that to match the colour.

Because your kitchen has more humidity in it than most rooms, it’s a good idea to use a different type of paint. Generally, a paint with a satin sheen or an eggshell finish is a good idea, since it avoids any unsightly drips that may pop up.

Same goes for your washroom, and for the same reason. The prep work is a little more involved as well, since a film can build up on a kitchen or bathroom wall as a result of the humidity. But don’t worry, we’ve got lots of experience in that area.

We’ll take care of most of the prep work to protect your floor and furniture. It’s a good idea to move your breakable, valuable, and sentimental items, though, since painting can be a bit messy.

We accept cheque, etransfer, or cash.

No, not at all. You’re welcome to, of course – it’s your home, after all. But we’re insured and work with trustworthy painters who are dedicated to our core principles.

All our work is covered by a 100% warranty. If for whatever reason you aren’t satisfied with the quality of the work, just give us a call and we’ll work to make it right.

Yes, absolutely. If it has to do with putting paint on a wall, we’re there to help.

Absolutely!
